Point-Based Estimation
PLAYXPERT employs a point-based development methodology whereby each feature identified in a scope of work is reduced down to a specified user story or task. Each user story is estimated with a level of effort based on the defined scope in the project. PLAYXPERT uses our internal tools, like the Metabase, to manage these projects providing continuity between team members and transparency to our customer.
PLAYXPERT estimates the time-frame for project completion and project costing based on development points and uses different costing and development velocity algorithms based on in-house developers versus developers participating in our Extended Developer Network.
The 3-Stage Process
The process of engaging with a client involves three primary stages: Plan, Design, and Develop. Upon execution of an engagement agreement, you will be assigned a Pre-Production Manager who will work with you to confirm project details, develop an interactive wire-frame for your application, and document the key elements involved in the application to confirm requirements.
Upon completion of the wire-frame development, the client will be asked to sign off on the wire frames and will be moved to Creative Review. Interface design will be performed by our creative team according to approved wire frames. Upon all creative and pre-production sign off, development begins. With wire frame and creative completed before development can begin, expectations are managed, scope is clearly understood and documented, and development efficiencies are maximized.
We find this process delivers successful results for our clients.
